Street Closings for Captial Pride

WASHINGTON - Following are the street closings that will take place June 14 and June 15 due to the 33rd annual Capital Pride weekend, celebrating the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community of the Washington metropolitan area. All street closings are in the Northwest quadrant of the District of Columbia.

Parade - Saturday, June 14

The parade will begin at 6:30 pm and will follow this route: Starts at 23rd Street; east on P Street to Dupont Circle; north on New Hampshire Avenue; east on R Street; south on 17th Street; east on P Street; south on 14th Street; ends at 14th and N Streets, NW.

The parade assembly area between 24th and N Streets and 23rd and P Streets will close at 4:30 pm. The parade route will close to traffic at 6:30 pm and remain closed until 8:30 pm.

Street Festival - Sunday, June 15

These streets will be closed from 9:00 pm, June 14, until midnight, June 15: Constitution Avenue between 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and between 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue; 6th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and 4th Street and between C Street and Constitution Avenue; Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Streets; and C Street between 3rd and 6th Streets.
