Travel & Accommodations

WHERE TO STAY, WHAT TO DO & HOW TO GET THERE

In addition to the fabulous networking, learning and planning that takes place each year at our regional conferences, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the numerous – and often free – things that the District of Columbia has to offer.  While you are visiting, spend some time touring one of the Smithsonian museums, visit Arlington National Cemetery, take in a baseball game with the Washington Nationals, or visit the Capitol Visitors Center and tour the Capitol dome.

To make your stay more comfortable take advantage of the offers provided by our Capital Pride travel partners.  We appreciate their commitment to provide the best deals to our delegates from our Pride organiations – both from out-of-town and those in the area – that would prefer to experience the full weekend in downtown Washington, DC.

Ride With Pride

Amtrak believes in diversity. For us, it’s more than a corporate buzzword. It’s an appreciation for all people. We believe every great adventure begins with an amazing experience.  Our goal is to provide that experience, time and time again. It doesn’t matter who goes along for the ride.

We are proud members of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association, the world’s leading LGBT travel network. Its mission is to connect and educate LGBT leisure travelers and of course businesses travelers around the world.

Getting Around DC

Getting around DC is quite easy.  The most efficient means of transportation is by the Metro Subway and Metro Bus system.  You can also easily hail a friendly cab or Uber driver as well.  Walking is also a very efficient (and healthy) way to travel. Below are some key resources for traveling to and within Washington, DC

METROBUS OR METRORAIL
