DC Black Pride
Since 1991, DC Black Pride (DCBP) has been held annually. DCBP is presented by the Center for Black Equity (CBE). The CBE is a coalition of Black Pride organizers formed to promote a multinational network of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Prides and community-based organizations.
Each year, more than 25,000 men and women from all over the world attend DCBP and experience the great culture and history in the Washington, DC area. Attendees have come to expect only quality social and non-social events during the Memorial Day Weekend.
DC LatinX Pride
The Latino GLBT History Project (LHP) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit volunteer-led organization founded in April 2000 and incorporated in May 2007 to respond to the critical need to preserve and educate about our history. Our mission is to investigate, collect, preserve and educate the public about the history, culture, heritage, arts, social and rich contributions of the Latino GLBT community in metropolitan Washington, D.C. To accomplish our mission, the LHP creates educational exhibits from our historical archives collection showcased at cultural events such as, a Women’s History Month Reception, a Hispanic LGBTQ Heritage Reception and DC Latino Pride, educational presentations at local and national conferences and through our online virtual museum at www.LatinoGLBTHistory.org.
Interpride
InterPride is the international organization that ties Pride together globally. Members of our organization are dedicated volunteers who organize and work to put on Pride events all over the world.
InterPride’s Vision is a world where there is full cultural, social and legal equality for all. InterPride’s Mission is to increase the capacity of our network of LGBTI Pride organizations around the world to raise awareness of cultural, social and legal inequality, and to effect positive change through education, collaboration, advocacy and outreach.
InterPride acts as a source of education and a stepping-stone to elevating community interaction for PRIDE events worldwide. We promote Pride on an international level and increase networking opportunities and communication among Pride Organizations.
Youth Pride Alliance
Youth Pride Alliance is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Ally youth empowerment to encourage positive self-development and expression, as well as leadership, while bridging diverse communities and individuals to address issues of visibility, equality, and social justice. We are dedicated to celebrating the dignity and courage of all young people.
