We’re thrilled to announce our latest installment of Pride Talks, Diversity in Family Units! Join us virtually on Tuesday, December 6th at 7PM as we discuss and celebrate transgender parenthood and identities within the family unit and LGBTQ+ community. We will be joined by a special panel including author of “My Mommy is a He!” Katherine Rosenblatt, Professor Jama Shelton, as well as community organizer Bo Belotti.

Panel
Katherine Rosenblatt (she/her) is the author of “My Mommy is a He!”, which shares the journey of one family’s experience regarding transgender identity from the child’s point of view. Katherine is a social worker, educator, parent, and partner. She believes deeply in the power of relationships and works to center equity in all that she does.
Jama Shelton (they/them) is an Associate Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and the Associate Director of the Silberman Center for Sexuality and Gender. Shelton’s program of research focuses on LGBTQ+ youth homelessness, structural inequity, and cisgenderism in social services and social work education.
Bo Belotti (he/they) is a trans masculine and queer person with a background in community organizing. His activism work has influenced state-wide legislation. Bo will be representing Rainbow Families, a non-profit organization that educations and connects LGBTQ+ families, parents, and prospective parents through education programs, support groups, and events.
