A gigantic dance party featuring a star-studded drag performance line-up including Alaska Thunderfuck and Tatianna from RuPaul’s Drag Race, adult superstar Beaux Banks, and a crazy cast of DC’s most amazing performers: Blaq Dinamyte, Bumper, Druex Sidora, Evry Pleasure, haus of bambi, Jane Saw, Jaxknife Complex, KC B.Yonce, Mari Con Carne, Pussy Noir, SHE, and Samson. Combine all that with DJs Lemz, Honey, and Ed Bailey and this is primed to be a completely insane experience to start off Capital Pride weekend in DC!
RIOT! is a party named in homage to the awe-inspiring efforts of our ancestors. On June 28, 1969, following a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a RIOT broke out, lasting for several days. A united queer community diverse in gender identities and race, including Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, unknowingly sparked a revolution of activism that would lead to the rights we have today. Now, 54 years after the RIOT that started it all, we can celebrate and dance and prance and strut, slay, death-drop, twerk, and werq, and generally be our own true selves because of the heroes who came before us. And now, faced with new efforts to criminalize our very existence, we need to rise up together again and declare “DRAG IS NOT A CRIME!” What better way to make that statement than to celebrate drag in all its forms with a performance night of epic proportions. Come join the insanity and dance the night away with thousands of your friends and chosen family!

A bizarre cosmic collision propelled Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 to Earth in March 1966… and on to the fifth season of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race in January 2013. Still radioactive, no one knows who or what she is yet, but no one cares, as long as she never returns to her native planet. Her age and species remain unknown to the public, but a few of her enemies claim to hold copies of her spawning record and universal passport.
After her spaceship crashed in the Matanuska Valley, a remote part of south-central Alaska, the U.S. government recovered an emaciated… make that, an emancipated alien, with a 1972 issue of Vanity Fair and a can of Tab, or that’s how the story goes. Why she needed an Elmer’s glue stick, no one has determined. She refuses to acknowledge it was in her possession. Few believe the wreckage was really smoldering, since magazines tend to burn, and cynics wonder if she was actually held captive in a research facility, or entertained by the night watchman until he got bored with her in the 1980s. She’s supposedly on the run from officials, but everyone knows they take off their uniforms and sneak into the clubs where she performs. Some turned into groupies and hang around long after the shows are over.
