Join the LGBTQ+ community for the return of the historic Capital Pride Parade, proudly presented by Marriott International. In 2022, a modified route will honor our history and acknowledge the evolution of the LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in Washington, DC, while respecting the origins and importance of taking to the streets in our fight for equality. Be prepared to experience one of the largest Pride Parades to ever take place in the United States Capital.

March in the Parade

Secure your spot to participate in one of DC’s most beloved parades. Organizations are encouraged to be creative and use the theme to show that you have pride as participants march along the 1.5-mile Parade route.

Spectator Experience

Announcement Stands

An announcement stand will be located at the start of the Parade route on 14th Street, just south of T Street, as well as on the southside of Dupont Circle. Learn about the contingents marching in the Parade.

ADA Accessibility*

There will be a dedicated accessibility zone at the beginning of the Parade route, in front of the announcement stand, to accommodate individuals with wheelchairs and in need of ASL.

*A reservation is required to guarantee your space.

Family Zone

The family friendly zone will be located at Stead Field. A section along the Parade route will also be available for families with small children.

Friends of Stead Park, Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, and Rainbow Families are excited to participate in D.C.’s 2022 Capital Pride activities, on June 11, 2022, in and near Stead Park.

We will have a Family Fun Area from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Stead Park’s playground with face painting, balloon art, games, and other fun family activities.

DC Central Kitchen will provide cooking demonstrations for families, and Foundry Church will host Drag Story Time and a much-appreciated Cooling Zone and Lemonade Stand.

AND, there will be an exclusive Family-Friendly Pride Parade Viewing Area at the corner of 17th and P ST NW, available for families with small children.

We are so grateful to the organizers of this wonderful D.C. event, which celebrates the LGBTQ community and families in all their forms, for giving each organization this opportunity to inform thousands of D.C. residents about the amazing work and services we provide to the DMV area.
