Front Porch at Suitland feat. Rebekah Laur'en
26 July 2022 – The DMV’s very own, singer, songwriter, producer and composer, Rebekah Laur’en, will be performing live on with her band, Friday, August 5, 2022, 7 – 9 p.m. as part of Front Porch Concerts, an outdoor concert series and event created by the non-profit organization, Creative Suitland Arts Center.
The event will feature artisan vendors, food trucks, games, and more. Bring the family, listen to original music and your favorite covers by some of the DMV’s most talented musicians. Tickets are on a “PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN” sliding scale from $5-$15.
Feature artist Laur’en is also an Artist Partner with Creative Suitland Arts Center and an instructor for Creative Suitland’s CreateTeens workshop series that takes place every Saturday.
Laur’en is from Virginia and received her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Westminster Choir College, where she trained as a full lyric soprano.
Laur’en pivoted from opera to another musical genre while she continued creating original music with a unique sound and style placement of an alternative R&B artist.
In 2022 she released her latest project “SMOKE AND MIRRORS, THE EP.” Laur’en hopes to candidly capture hearts and translate music into healing for her listeners.
