LGBTQ Researcher-Community Networking Event
Please join the George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center for a community networking event to bring together researchers and sexual and gender minority community members.
LOCATION
Busboys and Poets
2021 14th Street Northwest
Langston Room
Washington, DC 20009
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
LGBTQI-focused researchers from any field, health care providers, community members and anyone interested in building collaborative research should attend. The goal of this event is to improve collaboration between researchers and community members and ensure research is relevant to community stakeholders. This event is open to researchers outside GW.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Share your research through informal poster presentations, collaborate with community members and build authentic engagement with others in the LGBTQI research space. Light refreshments will be provided.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Researchers should bring information about projects on LGBTQI health improvement at any stage of development. Community members should simply bring their ideas!
Check the registration page for tools to turn your research plans or findings into visuals accessible to the community.
Our goal is to improve bidirectional information flow so community members can comment on approach and relevance of research conceptualized, in process or concluded.
Have materials you would like to print prior to the event? Email us at [email protected] by June 5 and we can assist!
