Cagedbirds Productions affirms the black, LGBT lived experience on screen and on stage. Through storytelling, we build community and spark conversations about public health issues that affect our people. We’re most known for our hit plays, ‘When Boys Exhale’ and ‘GAY Love Jones’ which has traveled to DC, Nashville, Atlanta and Houston.

SYNOPSIS

An original play in tribute to the film, ‘Set It Off’ that explores how expensive it is to be poor in this country, especially when it comes to our health.

Follow Keke, Jaden and Savion as they decide to get even with a world that is intent on bringing them down. It’s about crime. It’s about payback. It’s about survival.
