Wunder Garten (1101 First St. NE, Washington, DC 20002), DC’s beautifully vibrant beer garden located in the bustling NoMA neighborhood, proudly announces the return of its highly anticipated summer festival, SausageFest 2024! Set to take place on Saturday, August 17th, and Sunday, August 18th, from 12 Noon to 11 PM each day, this two-day event promises an unforgettable celebration of food, music, and community spirit.
Get ready to celebrate the dog days of summer in style at SausageFest 2024! Treat your taste buds at the “Who let the dogs out?” Sausage Haus from 1 PM to 9 PM, featuring a mouthwatering selection of sausages including a vegetarian sausage. Dance into the evening with live music by exciting bands, including a special performance from Snack Time from 3 PM to 6 PM. As the sun sets, don’t miss the highlight of the night: our electrifying “FOAM” Party with DJ Hank, starting at 8 PM and going till midnight. Grab your beach attire and we’ll provide the beach balls as you get ready to dance the night away under the stars!
On Sunday, August 18th, the festivities continue from noon to 11 PM with more delicious bites at the “Who let the dogs out?” Sausage Pop-Up from 1 PM to 6 PM. Witness the cuteness overload at the Best Weiner Dog” Contest from 2 PM to 3 PM, where furry friends compete for the title. Enjoy another fantastic live performance by Noah Pierre from 3 PM to 6 PM, filling the air with vibrant melodies and good vibes.
SausageFest 2024 is not just about food and fun; it’s also a significant fundraiser for the new DC LGBTQ+ Community Center, currently under construction, in partnership with the The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center and the Capital Pride Alliance.
Throughout the weekend, we’ll be rallying support with numerous opportunities to donate and show your support for the LGBTQ+ community which will host The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center, the Capital Pride Alliance, the Wanda Alston Foundation, Team DC, and more LGBTQ+ organization within the Nation’s Capital. Contributions will help expand the DC LGBTQ+ Community Center’s free behavioral health services, including more therapists and counselors, and enhance their STD & HIV testing and education programs. Additionally, donations will support the enlargement of their free food pantry, their gender-affirming clothing boutique, and the expansion of various support groups. Your generosity will also help provide essential services like lockers, laundry, showers, mail services and phone charging for the unhoused community, as well as a computer lab and Wi-Fi. By supporting SausageFest 2024, you’re helping to create a larger, safer, and more affirming space for all, with conference rooms, coworking spaces, and much-needed resources for the LGBTQ+ community.
