Mike Alexander

Mike has been the Development Director for the Capital Pride Alliance for nearly nine years. During this time, Mike has worked with major companies, LGBTQ+ employee resource groups, and individual donors to provide over $8 million in cash and in-kind gifts to help make the organization stronger and more resilient than ever before. Mike has been in fundraising and development for over 20 years, starting his career as a student at the University of Virginia, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor degree in Art History.

Mike has worked for various non-profit organizations over the years, including the University of Virginia Art Museum, the Paramount Theater of Charlottesville, the SPCA of Charlottesville, and the University of Virginia Medical Center in Culpeper, Virginia. Mike is also a licensed realtor with KW Metro Center, Arlington. Mike married his husband Julio in January 2018 and they live in Woodbridge, Virginia, with their two shih tzus and six cats.
