About DJ Tracy Young

Tracy Young is a GRAMMY®️ Award-winning Producer, Remixer, DJ, Composer, and Owner of Ferosh Records. Young has “Officially Remixed” for over 100+ musical artists, including 14 remixes exclusively for Madonna. Notably, she has racked up over 60 #1 U.S. Billboard Dance Club Chart hits since 2000.

Young’s career began in the early-90s at WPGC 95.5 in Washington, D.C. as a Mix Show DJ spinning Hip Hop. She later worked her way up to Music Director at the station, before acquiring the Southeast Regional Promotions Director for Interscope Records in Miami.

“I Rise” (Tracy Young Pride Intro Radio Remix), won Young a GRAMMY at the 62nd Annual Awards. The GRAMMY marks Young as the first woman to be nominated and win in the “Best Remixed Recording” category since its inception in 1998. On November 23, 2021, the Recording Academy announced Young’s second nomination in the same category for “Constant Craving” (Fashionably Late Remix) with k.d. lang.

About Eva Mystique

Eva is a nationally known burlesque performer having toured the U.S. from coast to coast. She’s the 2019/2020 Miss DC Latinx Pride and the showgirl Jane of all Trades. Whether she’s turning up the heat with her fire dancing, defying gravity on a pole or blowing your mind with a hula hoop; she’s sure to leave you mystified and begging for more. Eva prides herself on fusing classic belly dance, tease, twerk and flexible floor work – rendering devastatingly beautiful numbers that embody all that is feminine and magical. She oozes sensuality from every pore and beckons you with just a glance; and it’s only a matter of time before she casts her spell on you. But be careful… Eva Mystique is the witch who cannot be burned.

About our Host Vagenesis

Vagenesis is DC’s black bearded beauty; the tallest, hairiest petite woman in our nation’s capital. She started performing in Spring of 2018 and has been taking the DC drag scene by storm. She brings her unique brand of comedy and charisma to each of her performances. Vagenesis is an activist, advocating for all styles of drag, queer people, and all people of color. She is the creator of Black Label – a showcase of black queer artistry – and promotes inclusive casting and representation in all of her shows. Out of drag, they are known as Anderson, a maker of theatre, an acting teacher, and an outspoken non-binary activist for all marginalized groups. She is the first and current reigning National Bearded Empress and she is honored to have the chance to share her talents with you.

About DJ Eletrox

Eleana was born and raised in Honduras. Her heritage is Spanish, Palestinian and Honduran. She believes since coming from a family from different cultures we all have to be kind with each other and support our different communities. One of her passions is to advocate and volunteer to support the Native, Immigrant and LGBTQIA+ communities.

She first discovered her love for music at a very early age. She started to really get into DJ’ing when she was given her first turntable as a gift. From that point on, her hard work and dedication to learning more about music and becoming a more seasoned DJ really paid off. She has since then DJ’ed at Pitchers, Uproar, Howard Theater, Phase 1, Silent Disco Society, Embassy Row Hotel, Flash, 9:30 Club , Soundcheck , Air & Space Museum, News-eum, private parties, Capital Pride events and more. She specializes in all types of music and will determine what music she plays at an event to make sure everyone has a great time.

About Bang

Recording artist Bang, born and raised in Washington DC, has taken the music scene by storm. Contrasting between two Genres of music, Hip Hop & Ballroom House, he shows there are no barriers when it comes to music. His flow and flavor has allowed him to create tracks with the iconic Kevin JZ Prodigy, Lyricalmar, Lonnie Bee and more.

Originally a choreographer for clients such as Remy Ma, Trina, Tamar Braxton, Bang has always been in the entertainment industry. Providing choreography & Dancers For National Tours allowed him to get closer and closer to his love for music; creating a dynamic that was unstoppable to ignore.

The foundation of Bang has Always Been Fashion. He Created the #1 modeling performing arts organization in the DMV, “Models Inc,” has excelled him to become the first black modeling organization to have a residency in The Historic Renowned Kennedy Center Of Performing Arts. The Mayor of Washington DC, Muriel Bowser, has even recognized the organization for Bang’s work in the arts & entertainment industry in DC by awarding him with the Best Performance Arts Organization Award.

Those accolades allowed bang to further his career into production; producing some of NYFW most prestigious shows. Emerge NYC fashion show has been a Mecca platform for emerging artist. Where Bang has worked with Andre Leon Talley, Diane Von Furstenberg, Stephen Burroughs, Misa Hylton, Tracie Ellis Ross and so many more.

About Capitol Ballroom Council - House of Garcon

The Capitol Ballroom Council will be conducting a ball exhibition with the House of Garcon and MC Anky Mugler. Make sure you come wearing your best fuchsia outfits to earn a chance to work the runway.

The House of Comme des Garcons is an international organization that was founded based on the principles of fraternity, education advocacy, and professional growth. The organization exercises these principles through the participation in ballroom competitions. Ballroom allows the members to excel in various categories in which winners are celebrated monetarily and with awards. The house of garcon has displayed the ability to dominate in the arena of ballroom while encouraging its members to be progressive women, men and transgendered adults.

Utilizing philosophies acquired through membership in previous house organizations the founding members of the house developed a restructured approach to house membership. Celebrating individuality, encouraging creativity, and fostering evolution of its members inside and outside of ballroom has enabled the House of Garcon to cement a reputation amongst long standing house organizations.

Founder Shannon Garcon officially named and opened the House of Comme des Garcons on April 18th, 2008. Shannon and Whitney’s vision was for an organization that stood firm on core values they were taught while being a member of other successful organizations. Standing on faith Shannon became the first member of the House of Comme des Garcons. Keeping in mind the concept that was designed for the house, Shannon began the difficult task of building a family of individuals who shared and supported the vision.

During his search Shannon discovered there was a yearning for an organization that was dissimilar than any of the current houses. Eventually, Kevin ex-Ebony, Jeff ex-Mugler, icons Julian ex- Mugler and Whitney ex-Mugler joined Shannon in founding this dynamic new ballroom house. Also a strong supportive force involved in the early development stages of the house was Mike ex-Blanik Mugler. With a strong team in place and membership numbers continuing to rise, the house of Comme des Garcons was officially on the way to success.

The House of Comme des Garcons continues to be recognized today as a thriving ballroom organization with a strong track record of grand prize wins, area dominance in ballroom and a catalogue of members who include some of the most recognizable faces in ballroom. The House of Comme des Garcons in late 2014 took on a new blueprint for the future of the organization and looks forward to countless more victorious years in ballroom.

About Shea Couleé

Shea Couleé (she/they) is a non-binary, internationally-renowned drag superstar, recording artist, model, and actor, known for their fashion-forward editorial looks, expanding their artistry and brand into many different spaces, and their consistant use of the art of drag and costuming as a medium for larger storytelling, having been applauded by Vogue for doing so. Widely celebrated as an activist focused on uplifting LGBTQIA+ individuals and the BIPOC community, they have countlessly shared how important it is for them to harness their career in drag to inspire, calling their drag a “love letter to Black women.”

Couleé is the Season 5 winner (2020) of VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and finished a finalist on Season 7 (2022), the special all-winners edition, where they brought their fiercest competition and became the first queen to ever wear haute couture on the show’s runway. They were praised by Vogue and W Magazine for bringing royalty-worthy couture to the show, in addition to receiving the highest remarks from their supermodel idol Naomi Campbell who called their walk “perfection” in a heartfelt shared moment between the two.

In the final challenge of All Stars 7, Couleé slayed house down boots with their Janet Jackson-esque performance to their original song “Your Name,” labeled by Vulture as “pure talent.” The Tab described the choreo-heavy routine (self choreographed by Couleé) as “unclockably perfect, a Super Bowl Halftime Show ready performance of stratospheric levels of excellence.” In addition to “Your Name,” Coulee released another lush disco track, “Let Go,” as the second single from their debut album via their label HausDown Records expected early 2023. Ran by queer people for all people, HausDown Records aims to serve as a recording label that represents music from all walks of life.

During the season premiere of All Stars 5, Couleé gave the audience a taste of their single “Collide” featuring rapper Mykki Blanco with a fierce pole-dancing routine in an all-red leather ensemble. A few months later, Couleé co-directed and released the “Collide” music video on OnlyFans, paving the way as the first Drag Race alum to partner with the platform. Couleé worked with Vogue, exclusively breaking down the custom-created looks and how Couleé brought the concept to life.

Acting has long been Couleé’s passion and as their time on Drag Race came to an end, they strutted out of the werkroom and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was recently announced that Couleé will star as a series regular in the highly-anticipated Marvel/Disney+ show, Ironheart (expected 2023), becoming the first queen to enter the MCU. Hundreds of publications all over the world shared in the excitement for Couleé’s explosive news about their new role. They previously acted in Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch Paramount+ special, the indie Chicago series “Finesse,” and their critically-acclaimed one-woman show “Couleé With A C” (2019), which saw sold-out shows for it’s NYC run.

Continuing the theme of firsts: Couleé is the first drag figure to enter the beer market, creating “Shea Coul-Alé” and “The Royal Edition” beers with Goose Island Brewing Co. An unexpected partnership, “Shea Coul-Alé” sold out within 24 hours and “The Royal Edition” was expanded to major beer markets across the country. A portion of all profits was donated to TransTech, an organization dedicated to helping transgender people kickstart their trajectories in the workplace and Brave Space Alliance, a Black and Trans led organization on the South Side of Chicago.

Venturing into the beauty world, Couleé released two collaborative shea butter-based beauty products, the “$100k Bar” and “Slay Butter,” with Black woman-owned small business The Quiet Girl Shoppe. Additionally, Couleé has expanded their brand into many different spaces, partnering with a wide range of iconic brands such as Smirnoff, Supernatural, Mini Cooper, Youth To The People, Orbitz, Skittles, LUSH Cosmetics, Huda Beauty, and more. In their partnership with cannibis drink company Green Monké, together they teamed up with Our Academy, a non-profit that provides mentorship and education for cannabis equity applicants and those affected by the war on drugs.

One of the first queens to walk the runway in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty fashion show, we are given a gorgeous montage of Couleé applying makeup in the mirror and serving fierce looks, with Rihanna sharing, “It is really inspiring to me how you can really use colors, paints, makeup, textures just to embody whatever you want to.” Couleé was featured as a new face of Maison Valentino appearing in a 2020 campaign and has worked with the iconic fashion house on multiple occasions, most notably for the All Stars 7 press circuit and the first runway of the season. Couleé has also worked extensively with designer Christopher John Rogers, most recently wearing a completely custom CJR look in the All Stars 7 finale.

Couleé and their work have been featured in publications and outlets around the world, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure, PAPER, and numerous others. They were one of the first Drag Race alum to guest on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, represented Drag Race on the Deadline Emmy Contenders Panel, and graced the covers of Entertainment Weekly, Out, Gay Times, and international fashion magazine METAL. In addition to covering Gay Times, Couleé was honored for their “reputation for drag excellency of the highest order.”

A proud Chicago resident, Couleé purchased their first home in the city in 2021 and resides with their partner and chocolate Pomeranian, Baby.

About Guest DJ Joe Gauthreaux

One of the most sought after DJs and Producers in the industry, Joe Gauthreaux (pronounced GO TROW) has a resume full of club appearances and main events that spans the last 15 years – with the list ever growing. He has played almost every major circuit event all over the world, including Winter Party Festival, Purple Party, White Party Zurich, Song Kran Bangkok, New Year’s Rio at The Week, Atlantis Cruises, among others. A staple at major clubs across North America, Brazil and Asia, while holding multi-year residencies in several key markets across the world, his name is synonymous with having a driving and unique musical experience.

His production career has included official remixes of major dance artists like Steven Redant, Leo Blanco, Tony Moran and Kristine W., not to mention mainstream top 40 artists like Adele, Rita Ora, Blondie, Troye Sivan, Justin Bieber, & Brian Justin Crum. Most recently, his big room progressive-tribal remix of Diana Ross’ classic anthem “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” with Brazilian producer DJ Leanh, has taken the circuit by storm, with major support from many leading DJs.

Constantly evolving, Gauthreaux has now taken his music to the next level with his own house music label “Prop D Recordings,” with his 2014 debut single “Bye Felicia” featuring Mitch Amtrak reaching number 5 on the Billboard Dance Chart, making Gauthreaux an official Billboard Recording Artist. Follow up singles “February (Our Last Kiss)” featuring Abigail, and “The Urge In Me” featuring Inaya Day, rose even higher, peaking at numbers 4 & 3, repectively . He also wrote and produced the sleeper hit “You Are My Family,” also featuring Inaya Day on vocals, which has turned into a modern day gay pride classic. The heartfelt anthem has united crowds all over the world with its important message of family and brotherhood. As both songwriter and producer on his original productions, Gauthreaux is a major creative force to be reckoned with in the dance music industry. As for where he goes next, he says “Challenging myself is the only way I know how to keep growing. Staying still or moving sideways has never been of interest to me – I’m always looking forward.”
